Limewash Paint Attributes:

James Alexander Limewash paint is an authentic lime paint, a pure mineral formulation made from limestone. This provides several benefits which include being a hypoallergenic, non-VOC paint with virtually no odor. There are no preservatives, resins, or binder chemicals added.

History and Appearance:

An uncompromising modern composition of an ancient paint that dates at least back to the Roman era. The finish is known to create a warm and grounding visual effect, reminiscent of hand plastered walls. It is solely tinted with mineral pigments. These elements combine to create an exceptional appearance.

Application:

The standard wall application method is to apply 2 to 3 coats Limewash Paint over a coat of Lime-Prep Primer. This will create the typical soft and lightly textural limewash wall finish. On the final coat, the mix-in densifier should be added if you are using the paint in an area where the wall will be touched to reduce the chalky finish.
